The Cape Verde Museum, in partnership with the Cape Verdean Society of Authors, has the main objective of promoting and preserving Cape Verde's rich cultural heritage and deepening cultural ties between Cape Verdean communities in the United States and the archipelago. Art and Culture Week is one of the most ambitious initiatives to achieve this goal.

The event features a diverse program that includes art exhibitions, lectures, music and dance workshops, film screenings and a wide variety of live performances that cover various Cape Verdean musical genres, from mornas and coladeiras to funaná and batuque.

Scuta Music Production, a music production company dedicated to promoting Cape Verdean artists in the United States, is one of the sponsors of this event. The company plays a key role in organizing musical performances that include renowned local and international artists.

"We are very proud to support Art and Culture Week in the United States of America", said Armando Madeira, Head of SCuta Music Production. "It is a unique opportunity to celebrate Cape Verde's rich cultural heritage and promote the artistic talent of our community in the United States."

In addition, the event also serves as a space for dialogue and reflection on issues affecting the Cape Verdean community in the United States, including cultural preservation, immigration and educational opportunities.

Art and Culture Week in the United States of America promises to continue to grow in the coming years, further strengthening ties between the Cape Verdean and American communities and providing a platform for Cape Verdean artists and talent to shine in the United States.

Organizers encourage anyone interested in Cape Verdean culture to participate in the remaining Art and Culture Week activities and to get involved in celebrations that promote Cape Verde's cultural and artistic diversity.
